The rank points earned in a game are influenced by the following factors:
Game Value:
sum of the race values.
Race Value:
based on the rank of the game and the rank of the players playing in the game.
All the following items being equal, the game value represents the available rank points to be earned in that game... and they can be earned in 4 catagories:
RoboScore:
represents the base empire strength. If a player has 40% of the total player RoboScore they earn 40% of the game value in rank points.
VotedScore:
Players can vote for a 'victor' in the game and that 'victor' is given control of additional rank points. These points are distributed evenly amongst all players that he has declared as allied, wether they voted for him or not.
GloryScore:
If a player has 30% of the total glory in the game then they earn an additional 30% of the game value in rank points.
TRNs submitted:
Another relative measure to earn rank points. The percentage of submitted TRNs is used to distribute some additional rank points. The number of available points depends on the game rank and how many turns past turn 50 the game has run.
There is an additional inflator scaling factor for players of lower rank playing in higher ranked games. There is also a reduction scaling factor for unranked games that don't have the NoShareware flag on.
